ABOUT
This course, taught by senior teacher Laura McDonald, will give you an internationally accredited 50 Hrs Yoga Alliance Yin Teacher Training Certification.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow paced and passive style of yoga practice where most postures are practiced on the floor in a static way for an extended period of time. When combined with internal awareness and introspection, the practice of yin can also become a highly meditative tool to cultivate inner stillness.
This Yin program is available to any person, not just teachers. This training is led by experienced, senior teachers and a guest instructor covering many yin topics. We want to equip you with the tools to share the joy of Yin yoga with others and to deepen your connection to yourself.

Laura McDonald
My own Yin Yoga journey began in 2016. I was in my early forties and had been practicing yoga for over a decade. I was still pushing my body to its limits doing โadvancedโ classes and even appearing on stage in a leotard in yoga competitions.
I think Yin Yoga found me at the right time.
Before discovering Yin, my yoga practice was very much about what it looked like, trying to achieve the perfect shape and putting quite a bit of pressure on myself. Thatโs not to say I didnโt enjoy my practice, I did, but too often there was a sense of guilt and not feeling good enough.
Yin Yoga wasnโt particularly mainstream in the UK back in 2016, with not many teachers teaching it. Somehow in my quest for more open hips I came across some videos of Bernie Clark, Yin Teacher and author of โThe Complete Guide to Yin Yogaโ โ I liked what I saw so I booked a place on his teacher training and flew to Vancouver to learn from the man himself. Yin yoga has helped me to find acceptance of my body, appreciation for what it can do and to make peace with its limitations.
Since my training with Bernie Clark, I have taken several other Yin teacher trainings and have become more and more passionate about sharing this practice. I hope that you will share in my passion and help to spread it to others as well.
